Why we built this
Searching for a rink usually means a mix of out-of-date event pages and lists that cover the wrong side of the state. We built one directory that lists every public ice rink we can verify, from the business data the rinks themselves publish on Google.
Rinks are ranked by Google rating weighted by how many reviews sit behind it, so a 4.7 from 900 skaters beats a 5.0 from three. Nobody pays for a higher spot. When a detail is missing, the page says so instead of guessing.

They are the hours on each rink's public Google listing at the time of our last import. Rinks share ice between public skating, hockey, lessons and events, so public session times change often. Always check the rink's own schedule before you go.
Most public rinks do, usually for a separate fee from admission. Our skate rental filter only shows rinks whose own listing mentions rentals, so a rink missing from it may still rent skates. Call ahead if you need a particular size.
Warm, flexible layers, gloves and one pair of thin-to-medium socks. Skip jeans that soak through when you fall, and bring a helmet for young children. Our guide on what to wear covers indoor and outdoor rinks.
Natural ice is never guaranteed safe, and its thickness can vary a lot across one pond. A supervised, maintained rink is the safer choice. If you do skate on natural ice, follow your state natural resources agency's guidance and never go alone.
Email us from the contact page with the rink's name and what needs to change. Corrections and additions are free, and rink owners can ask us to update or remove a listing at any time.
